Quite Simply, World-Class
This is one of the highest-performing roof tents available worldwide — and in New Zealand, it stands virtually in a class of its own.
Note: When comparing this model to roof tents marketed as “designed in NZ/Australia,” look closer. These are typically generic imports, rebranded for the local market, and offer performance similar to our SUB60 — a solid mid-range option. For those seeking truly premium performance, our globally proven brands are in a league of their own, with unmatched materials, durability, and proven performance in all conditions worldwide.
Main Features
Quick Pitch – A Leading Global Brand, Proven Worldwide
Proudly made in South Africa, Quick Pitch roof tents are built to perform in the world’s toughest environments — and now they’re raising the bar in New Zealand.
Premium 400gsm South African Woven Polycotton Canvas
This tent features superior South African woven polycotton canvas at an exceptional 400gsm weight — far thicker and more durable than the materials used in most roof tents sold in NZ, which often rely on lower-grade canvas or basic polyester. With outstanding thermal qualities, wind resistance and naturally light blocking, the quality of this canvas is one of the most important components of this tent — and a major differentiator. It's something that must be seen and felt in person to fully appreciate.
Seriously Insulated Shells
Many claim it - few truly deliver it. This tent features real insulation: 25mm of high-density foam in the roof, and 15mm of insulation plus carpet in the floor for added warmth and comfort. Unlike cheaper tents, this is genuine all-season performance.
Unmatched Internal Space/Volume — Extra Long 2.3m Shell
Even the 2.3m-long shell doesn’t fully convey how much extra internal space this model offers. The extra long shell and unique hingeless extrusion design combine to offer internal volume far exceeding that of typical clamshell roof tents — you can nearly stand at the high end. Tall users who’ve ruled out clamshells in the past may want to think again after experiencing this one.
Fully Welded Aluminium Shell – No Plastic Corners
Unlike rebranded mass-produced tents that use plastic corner pieces, Quick Pitch uses fully welded, all-metal construction for unmatched strength and durability. This robust design even allows freestanding awnings to remain freestanding when attached — a rare capability.
No Anti-Condensation Mat — And That’s a Good Thing!
You’ve probably been told that anti-condensation mats are a mark of quality. In reality, they’re found in low to mid-grade roof tents. World-class tents don’t need them. These mats are often used to compensate for poor insulation, even in roof tents marketed as “insulated.” Quick Pitch tents are built to a genuinely high-performance standard. With true insulation and superior construction, this model offers Authentic 4-season capability in a class of its own.
Unique, Hinge-Free Shell Design
A standout feature: the shell is constructed with a unique, hingeless design using rotating extrusions. This results in a stronger, sleeker structure with significantly more internal space than other clamshell tents. It's also impossible to drive water through the rotating extrusion when driving at highway speeds in rain - something some other roof tents have to contend with.
Comfortable 75mm Mattress
Enjoy a proper night’s sleep with the included high-density 75mm mattress — no upgrades required.
Integrated Electrics and Lighting
Built-in electrics include USB charging ports and dual-colour interior lighting, all permanently installed for convenience and ease of use.
Why It Matters
Many in New Zealand haven’t yet had the chance to experience the next level of roof tent quality. For a modest step up in price, Quick Pitch delivers a massive leap in performance. From the heavyweight South African canvas to the expertly engineered shell and real insulation, the difference is obvious — especially when seen up close. Photos can’t capture the texture, thickness, or quality of materials used here.
This is more than just a roof tent. It’s a serious, globally proven piece of overland gear — built to perform, built to last, and built for comfort in all conditions.
